Dear Colleague,

This is always an exciting time of year for the Society for Neuroscience’s Program Committee. In a typical year, we would be at the SfN annual meeting, discovering new research on the poster floor or learning from top experts at the lectures and symposia. This year, we instead find ourselves in the midst of abstract submission for SfN Global Connectome, a brand-new, all-virtual event that still offers the same field-spanning scientific excellence as any other SfN meeting.

Abstract presentations are an integral part of an SfN meeting program, and this will hold true for the new virtual presentation format. In fact, at a time when connection and collaboration have become more difficult, it is more important than ever to take advantage of such an exceptional opportunity to engage with your peers, get feedback on your work, and grow your career.

The neuroscience community needs your ideas and your voice. Submit your research and join your peers at SfN Global Connectome this coming January. We encourage you to get started now, as the final abstract submission deadline (which will not be extended) is Friday, November 13, at 5 p.m. EST.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to SfN’s program team at program@sfn.org or +1 202-962-4000. Member Services will also be on call if you need assistance with your SfN membership account — reach them directly at membership@sfn.org or +1 202-962-4911.

We look forward to seeing your research!

Warm regards,

The SfN Program Committee
