Mentor Programme

In 2015, the SENC Young Researchers’ Committee (YRC) launched the Mentor Programme, by which established researchers offer to advise, guide and discuss all manner of consultations individually with younger researchers. This advice includes, among other activities, applications for projects, professional opportunities, networking, etc. You can consult the current team of SENC mentors here.

Initially, this programme was aimed at post-doctorate researchers at an advanced stage in their university career who were planning their next professional step (whether continuing their training in another laboratory or attempting to form their own group), or new group leaders who were establishing themselves independently.

If you are interested in benefiting from this programme, or if you have any questions about how it works, write to You can find information here on how to enter the programme and its operation.

Both the YRC and our team of mentors (who are volunteers) are very excited about this new SENC programme and we hope it will be useful to many young researchers.

Come and get involved!
