Addictive Disorders Network

TheAddictive Disorders Network (RTA)is an organisational structure funded by the Carlos III Health Institute of the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs, and is made up of different biomedical research groups whose objective is to reveal the origins of addiction processes, their clinical expression and social impact, with the ultimate aim of providing therapeutic and social intervention tools that will help to reduce the tremendous impact of addiction and associated pathologies.

The fundamental challenges facing the RTA can be summarised in the general objective of treating drug addiction as an illness, incorporated into the public health system, providing knowledge through research into physiopathology, etiopathogeny, therapy and prevention that leads to a solution to one of the most acute health problems in the Western world.
