Spanish Adult Neurogenesis Network

Knowledge of the neurobiology of adult neurogenesis indicates some properties which make these neurones promising in therapies for neurodegenerative illnesses and other neural disorders. Over the last decade, adult neurogenesis has become a potential focus of future therapies.

The Spanish Adult Neurogenesis Network (RENA) was created in June 2015, forming part of the SENC, to work specifically in this area of neuroscience. In May 2017, it held its first scientific meeting, the 1stRENA Symposium Bilbao 2017.

The RENA is an associated network of the SENC.
