Workshop aimed at anyone interested in hands-on training on the fundamentals and applications of stereology. Participants will learn how to perform unbiased sampling and measurements on three-dimensional structures, working primarily with two-dimensional images.
Key practical topics of special interest include the Cavalieri principle, the fractionator, the disector, the nucleator, the rotator, and various length and surface area estimators. In addition, a tutorial will be offered on the capabilities of a comprehensive stereology system.
