🏆 Call for Awards: Outstanding Symposium Talks and Poster Presentations
Sociedad Española de Neurociencia (SENC) – Las Palmas 2025

As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence in Neuroscience research and communication, the Spanish Society for Neuroscience (SENC) is pleased to announce a call for awards sponsored by the scientific journal NeuroPharmacology (Elsevier) recognizing outstanding contributions by Junior Neuroscientists (under 40-years old) during our 2025 Annual Meeting in Las Palmas. Additionally, Elsevier encourages the award recipients to submit a manuscript on their winning topic to NeuroPharmacology so the committee selecting the winners will use the Aims and Scope of the journal as part of their selection criteria.
The following categories will be awarded:
🧠 Symposium Talks (2 awards)
To recognize two exceptional oral presentations delivered during the symposium sessions, based on:
- Scientific impact and originality
- Clarity of presentation and visual materials
- Relevance to current challenges in neuroscience
- Audience engagement and discussion
📝 Eligibility: All speakers under 40 years in official symposium sessions.
🎖️ Award: Certificate of Excellence along with a Prize of 250 €, and official recognition during the closing ceremony.
📊 Poster Presentations (2 awards)
We are also awarding two outstanding poster contributions that exemplify:
- Novel scientific insight
- Clear, well-structured visual presentation
- Effective communication and interaction with attendees
- Promising potential for further development or publication
📝 Eligibility: All registered poster presenters at SENC 2025.
🎖️ Award: Certificate of Distinction along with a Prize of 250 €, and recognition during the closing ceremony.
🕒 Selection Process
- Symposium talk Poster awards will be selected by a scientific committee appointed by the Executive Board of SENC composed of session chairs and SENC board members.
- All awardees will be notified during the final session on September 5.
