The López-Bendito Lab at the Instituto de Neurociencias (UMH–CSIC), a leading center for developmental and systems neuroscience, is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our team under a newly funded project by the Spanish Agency of Research. A 4-year, fully funded PhD position (FPI scheme).

You will have:
• A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Neuroscience, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Bioinformatics or a related field*
• Experience analyzing one or more of the following datasets: scRNA-seq, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, or ChIP-seq*
• Proficiency in R (including Bioconductor libraries), Python, and Linux*
• Willingness to work with research animals*
• Experience in tissue sample preparation, in vivo gene perturbation using CRISPR
• Proficiency in signal, image, and video processing and
• Prior work with rodent models or molecular techniques is advantageous
• High motivation, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
