18h Annual Meeting of the LARC-Neuroscience network

The 18h Annual Meeting of the LARC-Neuroscience network will be organized on October 17th, 2014, in CAEN, France by Carine Ali, Omar Touzani and their colleagues. The program includes: 

- two plenary lectures, 
"Imaging single glutamate receptor in living neurons: what does it tell us?"
by Dr. Laurent Groc, Institut Interdisciplinaire de Neurosciences, Université Bordeaux 2, France
&
“Neuropeptides and the cerebral circulation”
by Prof. Lars Edvinsson, Division of Experimental Vascular Research, Lund University, Sweden

- two sessions of oral communications, and two poster sessions. Selected oral communications will be given by young researchers (PhD students and post-docs). All oral and poster communications will be presented in English, and abstracts should be written in English as well. Prizes will be given for the best oral and poster communications.
The deadline for abstracts submission and subscription is the 17th of September 2014. 
The congress will be held at the ESAM “Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Médias” located at the centre of Caen (the location can be found here www.esam-c2.fr/ )

Registration fees are 30 € for regular participants and 20 € for students and post-docs.

Bilbao advanced workshops on biophysics

Structure and function of ion channels July, 2-4, 2013. The workshop organized by Prof. Daniel Minor consist of three days of lectures and practical work. The attendants will learn basic and applied aspects of Structure and Function relationships on Ion Channels from some of the best scientists in the field. The practical sessions will focus on reconstitution of your own purified ion channels on planar bilayers, if available.
